The Bar will be hosting a happy hour at Maliu Mai this evening (March 5) from 5pm - 9pm. In attendance will be Mr. Neil Weare from the Constitutional Accountability Center (CAC) in Washington, DC. Mr. Weare is working on a federal case that would attempt to apply the citizenship clause of the 14th Amendment to the territories, making all territorial citizens constitutional US citizens. He would like to meet with the Bar to discuss the case and the opinions of the Bar. Obviously, such a case could have wide-ranging implications for the territory, so it is encouraged that everyone come out tonight to discuss. Attached is a brief summary of the issue, and more information about CAC can be found at http://www.theusconstitution.org/.
