Payment of Dues
As set out in Artile II the American Samoa Bar Association Bylaws (as amended on June 29, 2016), there are three classes of membership, with the following annual membership fees:
- Active (aka Regular) - $100.00 USD
- Inactive - $50.00 USD
- Honorary - [no fee]
Membership dues are calculated per calendar year (January 1 through December 31), and are due before January 1 of the membership year. For example, memberhip dues for 2017 should be paid before January 1, 2017 to avoid late fees.
Dues may be paid late through February of any given membership year, but these payments will be subject to a late fee of $50.00 USD.
Active and inactive members who have not paid their dues before March 1 of any membership year will cease to be members of the American Samoa Bar Association.
The American Samoa Bar Association is currently able to accept payment in these ways:
- by personal check (via mail or hand delivery)
- by credit card or debit card (via PayPal)
For your convenience, below is a form for paying ASBA dues via PayPal. Please note that the amounts listed in this form are slightly higher than the actual dues amounts. This is because PayPal charges small transaction fees, and ASBA needs to recoup these fees through a slight increase in the payment amounts. Think of it as a little surcharge for fast, convenient, and secure online payment.
