No person suffering from a communicable disease, or known to be, or suspected of being a carrier of a communicable disease or open and unprotected cuts or lesions, shall be employed in an abattoir or permitted to remain on the premises. Each employer shall have in his possession a certificate, in writing, for each employee from the director of health, stating that the employee has been throughly examined and the employee is found to be not suffering from any disease in a communicable stage. Such certificate shall be renewed every 12 months. Both employer and employee shall be held responsible for violations of the requirements of this section.History: Pub.
